Paris Saint-Germain head coach Christophe Gaultier has insisted he does not need to convince Kylian Mbappe to stay at the club.
The French champions were eliminated in the last 16 of the second season of the Champions League, prompting fresh questions about Mbappe’s future to surface.
Embappé turned down the opportunity to join real Madrid On a free transfer last summer, signed a new two-year contract with the option of a third at PSG.
Reports in Spain suggest Mbappe regrets the decision and wants Los Blancos to make another approach for him, but the European champions would prefer if the forward declined their option of an extension so he could go on a free transfer in 2024 can join.

Gaultier was asked about Mbappe’s immediate future at a press conference on Friday ahead of his trip to Brest later this week.
“I don’t need to try to convince Kylian [to stay]Gaultier said.
“Kylian has expressed it himself, but if you had asked any player, you would have found him in the same state – very disappointed after the elimination.
“With respect to Kilian, Kilian is a psg player and he shows it in every game. He has the determination to succeed and to perform well to help the club get as high as possible.”
Mbappe became PSG’s all-time leading scorer last week, netting a goal in their 4-2 win at home to Nantes, overtaking Edinson Cavani on his historic tally.
