David de Gea has won the Castrol Save of the Month award for February for his brilliant save in Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City.
February proved to be a historic month for the Spanish goalkeeper, with De Gea winning the Carabao Cup with Manchester United and surpassing Peter Schmeichel’s record clean sheet tally with his 181st clean sheet for the Red Devils.
One of said 181 clean sheets came in Man Utd’s emphatic 3–0 win over Leicester at Old Trafford on 19 February.
Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho scored on the day, but De Gea was equally important when he made two saves to earn him a Castrol Save of the Month nomination.
