Levi Colville is concerned about his future at Chelsea after his loan spell with Brighton expired this summer.

The 20-year-old was outstanding last season in the Championship with Huddersfield and has made his move to the Premier League this year with Brighton. His loan with the Seagulls was initially rumored to include a permanent buyout clause, but Chelsea maintained that the contract was only a straight loan.

Colville will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer with two years left on his contract. As 90 minutes revealed earlier this monthChelsea are bracing for some tricky decisions in the coming months as they look to prevent players from entering the final 24 months of their deals.

Recently asked what the future holds for him, Colville refused to give anything away.

“I haven’t thought about it [his future] To be honest,’ he said. ‘Every day we work hard here [at Brighton] And I can only focus on that. Things may not go right here if I start planning for the future and everything changes.

“That’s my main priority right now, just hanging out with my teammates and working hard.

“I’ve loved every minute of it [his time at Brighton], I learned a lot, even when I wasn’t playing and now that I’m getting minutes, coming back from injury—I can’t complain.”
